Guest Skating

Would you like to guest skate on a STARSkate Session at Skate Kingston? You are welcome to do so but we do have a few rules! Guest skating is offered for youth skaters on STAR A, STAR B, STAR C and for Adults on our AdultSTAR session, if there is room available.

NOTE: There is no guest skating available for any of our recreational programming (Adult/Teen LTS, CanSkate, Pre-STAR)

You must:

  • be a current active member of Skate Canada (and have paid your 2024-2025 fee) or be an active coach with Skate Canada;
  • before registering, ensure which session you qualify for based on your STARSkate assessments;
  • create a Member AND Participant profile on our Uplifter account at: http://skatekingston.uplifterinc.com/registration/
  • register for your guest skating session through Uplifter. Note that there is limited room for guest skating. To check if there is room, please click on the STAR session/day that you are interested in and click “Drop-In”. Scroll down to see if the date you are looking for is available for guest skating. If the date is not available, the session is FULL, you are not able to guest skate.

At the rink, you will need to:

  • Find the Director of STARSkate and introduce yourself for attendance purposes.
  • If you are paying by cash/cheque, please provide the Director of STARSkate with your payment in an envelope with your name and date of skating clearly written on the front of the envelope.

Guest skaters must abide by the Skate Kingston skater and parent code of conduct. Guest skaters must also abide by our session structure. Guest skaters must either participate in group coaching activities (i.e. stroking, skills, etc), or must stand by the boards in order to ensure no interruption of those sessions.
